I'd say that the key word here is retention. I think they've probably got some of the highest retention rates in their key service areas (i.e. land line telephone, broadband, wireless services, and cable TV). That's a great combination if you ask me. Retention + Market Share = Long Term Winner.

    Oh, and here's the BONUS! : 3.81% dividend yield and they offer a DRIP for shareholders.

    About the price: The price of Verizon is hovering in the low 40's which is towards the top of their 52-week range but I think the long term prospects are such that paying a price
