One possible solution would be to stop actively encouraging children to buy imitation guns as toys. What message are we as a society sending out when we advertise guns to children? There is also the question as to who make the guns in the first place. Now it is not being suggested that all guns throughout the world should be removed, but the present state of affairs reeks of hypocrisy when it is debated in the context of invading countries with bombs for oil.
