This is an art only if used wisely or it becomes a blunder. It is very important to discern the difference between persuasion and persistence here. A seasoned persuader would never directly try convincing a prospect to join his or her business, as that would only repel anyone. Persuasion, on the other hand, is trying to first build up that need or desire in the listener. And that’s what Virginia did. She so articulately built up a background and planted the seeds of desire to move into network marketing in Daniel’s mind. That was subtle and apt. And that’s how any seasoned persuader would persuade – impregnating a thought that does the rest of the job.
