Make Work Cultures Fit The Needs And Aspirations Of Young Adults, And They Will Stay Here
Replacing baby boomers who retire presents a continuing problem for companies in the Pittsburgh region. And there is no easy solution in sight. Our universities and colleges attract many young students to Pittsburgh, but after graduation they leave in droves for jobs elsewhere. The Coro Report of April 2003 showed that between 1980 and 2000, the population of 20- to 34-year-olds in the 10-county Pittsburgh region dropped by m

How To Know When It's Time To Redesign Your Logo
Early Logo BeginningsThe history of logo design and logos dates back to ancient Greece. The word "logo" means a name, symbol or trademark designed for easy recognition. The use of logos as trademarks has existed as long as there have been traders and merchants. They can be traced back to the thirteenth century. They include masons marks, goldsmiths marks, paper makers' watermarks and watermarks for the nobi
    Are you feeling obsolete?

    Old processor going too slow?

    Memory leak affecting you?

    Maybe its time to upgrade?

Ok, you get it. I see that you're not the geek. You're not technically minded. You are someone who wants the TV to work and doesn't care about the inside.

Another common mistake made by you is, "Technology is being developed too fast for my old self to catch up".

Yes a common misconception among people of any age. Technology is NOT being developed quickly at all. We as a society are slow to implement technology and developing anything can take years. For example, the Iphone by apple (actually the Iphone naming is held under Cisco) is not new technology. Someone could have released the same product a few years back (some did) but it wouldn't have picked up. Why? Because it would be a brick. Computer chips are only getting smaller with every so often a new development to lower power requirements or electricity throughput. We are limited by size, shape, batteries and consumer opinion.

    Huh? You maybe thinking.

When something revolutionary is created, its fully criticized on every level. That's just one of the reasons why it takes so long for something new to come to the market. Another factor is the company creating it, the building processes, cost and transport. Marketing also pays a big part of it and so does fashion. The Ipod succeeded not because it was an alright product, it was because it was socially thought of as "cool". There were better music players on the market at the time but the Ipod won. It was not a huge step in technological development but the implementation and awareness of music playing devices exploded. It is now common place to have wires hanging out your ears.

Get Motivated to Create New AdSense Content
If you're new to AdSense, getting motivated to write original content can be difficult. Writing content takes time, and it also takes time to get the content advertised and get links into each page. If you still have a day job, it can be tough to make the time. One way to motivate yourself to create the content and get the links is to calculate how much you are earning per page per year. Multiply that times any number of p

Writing for Children: What Drives a Children's Story?
If someone were to ask you what it is about some of your favorite books that you find most compelling, you may be inclined to answer with something like, "It has an exciting plot," "It's fast paced," or some other answer about the storyline. However, upon deeper reflection, you may come to realize that what's often the most compelling about certain stories is the emotional drive behind the primary storyline. Sure, an interesting pl

Another great thing about this is that you start to pick up technical terms, and knowledge meaning you are learning more each day.

So are you becoming obsolete? NO. You just need to stop being lazy for 5 minutes a day and learn a bit.
