Here's where it gets good. Not only is your long distance free with an unlimited broadband phone service plan, but so are all of the calling features you love like *69, voice mail, caller ID, call forwarding, call waiting, and three way calling. I have seen over 30 free calling features with some broadband phone companies! You can even pick your area code, or have an additional virtual number in a different area code so friends and family who live within that area code can call you for free. You can even keep your existing phone number if you want when you switch to broadband phone service.

911 a concern? It shouldn't be! Not anymore. All broadband phone companies are now required by U.S. law to provide 911 service. Most broadband phone companies are now moving to enhanced 911 which doesn't work exactly the same as traditional 911 service, but connects you to the nearest emergencie center for your area code. If you're concerned about 911 calls, just make sure your broadband phone company has enhanced 911. Quality a concern? It shouldn't be.
