But even in the midst of Israel’s immorality, God was merciful and offered hope, expressing his everlasting love for his people and constantly reminding them that their repentance would bring about great blessings and would save their nation.

Hosea’s Warning To Judah — We have to change if we want to save our nation from God’s judgment. “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy (Do Right); break up your Fallow ground (Get Right): for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and Rain righteousness upon you (Be Persistent)”. Hosea 10:12

As we study this message we can see parallels between America now and Israel then. -- The preachers had quit preaching the true Word of God -- laws were being made by unholy men -- even God’s people no longer honored God’s laws.

A NATION FALLS UNDER JUDGEMENT WHEN THE PREACHERS NO LONGER TEACH THE TRUE WORD OF GOD – “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: (You’re no preacher of mine) seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. (when preachers quit preaching the true word of God the Nation and it’s children suffer).” Hosea 4:6

Some churches today have become little more than Sunday morning tea parties—or elaborate fashion shows. A black friend of mine recently expressed to me “it seems to me that the main activity in my church is to out dress my friends. And the true word is hardly preached anymore.”

I have someone very close to me that is having trouble with the sin of unforgiveness in their life. She belongs to a church that preaches tolerance (careful to not hurt anyone’s feelings).

She can’t get past it because her preacher doesn’t preach anything from the bible that might convict her or hurt her feelings. Instead she is taught to meditate on beautiful flowers and gentle running brooks. It’s not a New Age church. It is a Protestant church.

I have tried to convince her that conviction is not supposed to feel good. It’s supposed to bring us to the Father for repentance so that we can find peace. – Then we will feel good.

Today you can buy Bibles for homosexual churches, women activist and other groups to fit their agenda.

Politics are part of a religion in such a country as this and Christians must do their duty to the country as a part of their duty to God. It seems sometimes as if the foundations of the nation are becoming rotten, and Christians seem to act as if they think God does not see what they do in politics. But I tell you He does see it, and He will bless or curse this nation, according to the course they (Christians) take.-- Charles Finney (1792 – 1875) There has never been an attack on Christians in America like there is today. If we don’t get involved in the civil affairs of this nation, exercise our voting rights, and make a stand, God is going to bring a judgment to America one day, and our nation and our children of the next generation will suffer. “. . , seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

Many preachers refuse to teach God’s word concerning his command to appoint Christian leaders in our government for fear they will loose members, or their tax credit that will result in lost revenue for the church. (a Christian congress would change this law). But one day those preachers will have to account to God for that decision.

3. A NATION COMES UNDER JUDGEMENT WHEN THE CHURCH FALLS ASLEEP-- “Praising God, and having favour with all the people (In the community). And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” (so they would be saved)” -- Acts 2: 47

Every member of that Church believed there purpose in life was to bring others to the Father. They did this by serving the community outside the church which brought them in so they could hear the Word and be saved. They made THEMSELVES and ALL they owned AVAILABLE to God, to serve others, for the purpose of bringing them to the Father.

THE CHURCH FELL ASLEEP DURING THE 50’s AND 60’s AND ABANDONED THEIR NATION. –

When their children began having babies out of wedlock, they were content to turn them over to a government to provide their material needs with no regard for their need of a father or spiritual and moral guidance. Even God’s people no longer honored God’s laws. Many preachers directed their flock to the polls to appoint unholy government leaders that promised to provide welfare, instead of making THEMSELVES and ALL they owned AVAILABLE to God, by providing those needs – both physical and spiritual, for the purpose of bringing them into the church and to Christ. Our nation is a mess . . . and the Christians are to blame!
