Car Wash Fundraiser Pressure Washer Use Considered
One of the most important things in a car wash fundraiser is to make sure that you can wash the cars at a pretty good speed otherwise the line will build op and eventually end up in the street. Once cars are parked in the street waiting to get into the car wash fundraiser then you will attract a local police officer who will be upset that you are blocking traffic. This is why it is recommended that you use a pressure washer to wash the cars. You can wash the cars a lot faster with a pressure washer and believe it or not you will save water. Water conservation is important because generally when you do a car wash fundraiser

Who's Got Your Back? Joint Ventures
Entrepreneurs understand how important it is to surround oneself with strong, dependable, loyal and able people. It’s been said that, in the heat of battle, the soldiers who stand by you are not the college kids and the pretty boys, but rather the ex cons, thugs, drifters and pimps. When the bullets are flying, somehow a PhD or MBA doesn’t make much of a difference. If you were about to trek across the ice to the North Pole, whom would you choose to be on your team? Whom would you trust with your life? Would you choose someone from Greenpeace or someone from the Marines? A “peacekeeper” or a warrior? I want the toughest charac
As small business owners we are eager to get business. When it comes to marketing our businesses we often jump without looking – and end up scratching our heads wondering why nobody is pounding on our door begging to buy our product or service.

Marketing is no easy feat and there is no easy formula for success. It takes work and effort to find the best way to attract people and get them to purchase your goods or services. Before you spend a dime on logos, business cards, brochures or ads, please read and think through these five things. I promise you that if you really do your homework and think these through, your marketing efforts will be more successful and focused.

    1. Define your target audience.

Just whom should you be marketing to anyway? This is a BIG question. You may just want to skip to the next one – but don’t. Clearly identifying a very specific target audience is really important. Your target audience should be very narrow and easy to find. It should be a group you know well or can find out a lot about. A mistake many business owners make is having a target audience that is too large such as: women or small business owners. Instead of women, target “women over the age of 40 who exercise 3 times a week or more” or “small business owners who own restaurants.”

    2. Define your niche.

Career Challenge; Franchise Agreements and Time to Open Location
Have you considered a franchise business as your next potential career choice? Many people leave Corporate America or secure paychecks to start their own businesses. Does this make sense? If you start a small business how long will it take to open the business? What if you start a franchise how long until you get the doors open and start making money? Good question indeed. The UFOC or Uniform Franchise Offering Circular demands that the franchisor indicate the time to open a store, if the store opens early then that is not required disclosure, however it has been my observations that franchisees want their franchises open earl

Pitfalls To Avoid When Writing A Business Plan
WRITING A BUSINESS PLAN - Common mistakes to avoid -- Unbelievable Financial Projections Whether you’ve omitted key figures such as salaries or whether the numbers you’ve forecast are outrageously high, this area is one to be very careful with. A business plan will need to include everything from break-even projections to proposed return on investments to cash flow forecasts, and somebody in your team will need to be able to discuss these issues confidently.- No credible Evidence of Demand Is the idea or product needed? Wanted? The business plan needs to demonstrate this need in order to justify the busi

What’s Happening in Security & What You Need to Know
Security like many sectors, keeps marketing people like myself busy communicating with stakeholders about the latest issues and changes that affect them. Just as I think things are on even keel, something new appears on the horizon that needs communicating. And then it changes, so I have to communicate it all again.Confusing enough for myself, but much more of an issue for people like yourselves involved in facilities management. For most of you, security is just one of many areas you are involved with and keeping abreast with the pertinent issues that impact upon your organisation is not easy. There are a couple of cur

Medical Billing - DME Software Updates
In this installment of DME software for medical billing, we're going to cover one of the most important parts of the system, updates. As much as medical billers would like the DME and medical billing industry to be stagnant, that is just not the case. Regulations are constantly changing as well as prices, diagnosis codes, procedure codes, electronic billing specifications and on and on. So what does one do when they just got the latest software and one week later Medicare pricing for wheelchairs has just changed? That's where updates are so important. In the DME system, there are a number of updates and not all of the

    2. Define your niche.

What do you want to be known for? What is a niche? A niche is something unique and special that you offer to your customers. The more specific and focused it is, the greater your success will be. I struggled with this when I started coaching. I thought I had a niche: Small Business Coaching. However, I soon realized that “small business coaching” was too broad. It could mean financial analysis, writing business plans, or how to face fears. I enjoy working with a lot of people who have a lot of different concerns and goals – but that does not help me market my business. Finally, I wised up and realized that many people were coming to me for help to get more clients and customers. So I revised my niche: Business Owners who offer a service and want to get more clients without breaking their bank. See how much clearer that is?

    3. Define the benefits that your product/service offers.

What do your products/services do for your customers/clients? When asked what we do, most people talk about their title or tell you what product they sell or service they provide. This is BORING! It rarely captivates a potential client to here me say, “I am a Small Business Coach.” Instead, you should share the benefits y
