The Lunge is a great warm up before your walk.

Start at a standing position and step forward with a wide stance.

Bend the forward knee and lower your body so that the back knee just touches the floor.

Be sure that when you lower your body, the forward knee stays in line with your ankle. If your knee starts to move in front of your ankle, you need to take a wider stance (step forward further).

Now straighten the forward knee, lifting your body. Do not push with the back foot; let the quadriceps muscles (the front of your thighs) of the forward leg do the work.

Do 8 repetitions on each side, then return to the starting position, step forward with the other leg and repeat.

A Look Inside the Strategic Mind
The strategic mind is an unrolling canvas of ideas and thoughts—shapes and forms, maps and pathways. Constantly churning the mind is sensitive to movements around it, interpreting the factors and elements swirling about but not controlled by them. Seeing, planning, rehearsing, revising, they can incorporate new ideas easily and fluidly instead of rejecting or discarding them. They question not for questioning sake but to add and grow the depths of their knowing.Because they zero in on their goals so clearly and have a focused determination, they think themselves well into the future planning many

Surprise! The U.S. Government Wants More Fuel Efficient Vehicles
After several years of skyrocketing gas prices, alarming new reports about the dangers of global warning, and a seemingly endless debate in congress concerning U.S. energy policy, it appears as if the federal government finally may be seriously considering a mandate that would require increased mileage standards for American vehicles. It's cause for some optimism, but observers aren't ready to rejoice quite yet. Recently, President Bush urged congress to give him the authority to raise federal fuel economy standards for passenger vehicles. That may sound like an encouraging sign, but that fa

    Business Angles and Sportsbetting
Sports betting, like any investment, carries risks and rewards. The parallels between betting on sports and playing the stock market are many. In fact, I would argue that they are exactly the same for all intents and purposes.Placing a bet on a team and hoping for a win is no different than buying a particular stock and hoping for a rise in price. There are few differences between sportsbooks and brokerage firms. Both are middlemen who charge you a fee for their services. Both the sports bettor and the stock player are after a return on their investment (profit). If a person buys a stock a

    Sun Tanning Tips

A great tan makes you look healthy and beautiful, but make sure to do it right. Protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays.

Below you will find tips for sunless tanning, sunburn first aide and proper use of sunscreen to protect your skin while gaining a beautiful tan.

    Sunless Tanning Tips

Try the light to Medium products if you have fair skin or the Dark formula if you have darker skin.

Before applying sunless tanners, cleanse and exfoliate skin with a soft loofah or cloth to achieve a longer-lasting, even tan and allow it to dry. Any dry patches will absorb too much color and your tan will look uneven. · When applying to the face, avoid spreading in or around eyes.

Use sparingly around knees, ankles and elbows where formula can develop darker. Apply a thin even coat over your body. Using either horizontal and vertical strokes or a circular motion.

Use a sponge paintbrush, available at any hardware store, to apply self tanner to your back. Look for one that is from two to three inches in size. Wash before use and let it air dry.

When using spray products spray and blend quickly and thoroughly over one body part at a time. Do not saturate. Apply a lighter amount of sunless tanning product to areas with thick, dry skin such as elbows, palms and knees. · Wash hands with soap and water immediately after application.

To tan the backs of your hands, apply with a make-up wedge in smooth even strokes being sure to blend in evenly. Tan hands and feet--If you use a self-tanner on your hands and feet, use a make-up sponge to blend well around the fingers and toes. If you take your time in applying carefully, it will look very natural.

Avoid contact with clothing, fabrics, furniture, and carpet.

Wait one hour before applying any foundation or moisturizer or before swimming or bathing.

Reapply as needed to maintain or deepen color.
