Husbands and Wives - Love Each Other!
"Husbands, love your wives. Avoid any bitterness toward them" (Colossians 3:19).The story is told of the discontented husband who fortunately went to a Christian friend for advice about a divorce. This wise man told him, "Go home and court your wife for a year and then tell me the result." A year later the grateful man went back to his friend and thanked him for the good counsel. The friend advised him, "I hope you will continue to court your wife as long as you live."Authority permitted by God can quickly degenerate into authoritarianism that makes life a hell on earth for both partners. The lady of the house responds to compassion and passion, in that order. True authority leads rather than pushes; it directs rather than controls; a

How To Stand For Local Council
Many individuals want to take a greater role in their community and give something back by becoming a local councillor. It is a fulfilling role, but also an incredibly time consuming one, which should not be taken on lightly without full consideration. To stand in a council election there are some legal requirements. First, you must be a British or Commonwealth citizen of at least 21 years of age, be of sound mind, free from bankruptcy and imprisonment (no more than 3 months can have been served within the last 5 years). You cannot be an employee of the council you are standing for, or a senior manager of any other council in Britain and must not have committed a disqualifying election offence within the period specified for that offence (a
The other day I had a meeting on the web with a few friends. We are planning our class reunion and since no two people were ever available at the same time, we decided to set up a CHAT group and meet over the web.

It was a lot of fun and exciting. This got me curious about CHAT rooms so I later signed into a Christian chat room to see what the hoopla was all about regarding these chat rooms. Although I have been on the web for almost ten years, I’ve never ventured into a chat room. Need less to say, there weren’t very much Christianity going on in that chat room.

One person, with a rather strange handle, which I cannot remember right now, questioned whether or not there actually was a God. He stated that with so much evil going on in the world, it led him to question God’s existence.

Later, after signing off, I thought about what “strange handle” said about the evil in the world. Of course, God has nothing to do with the evil but it got me to thinking about all of the people who are so "Unenlightened".

Even people who are Christian are oftentimes "unenlightened" by a true understanding of how God works in their life.

Because I teach how to discover God’s purpose for your life, I want to talk about how unenlightened we are when it comes to the type of work we choose or the profession we decide to go into.

We allow the economy to dictate what type of job we accept as opposed to what type of career God has chosen for us.

We continue on a job that is not fulfilling because we like the people we work with or we are just so happy that we have a job because we always hear how “there are no jobs out there.”

So, we continue to stay unhappy or unfulfilled because we are unenlightened about how God works in our life.

Let me try and break down my understanding of how God works in our lives:

At birth, you are born with a soul, which has a seed already set to grow inside of us. This seed is your life’s purpose.

As a child, we are close to God. Whether or not someone in our lives teaches us about Him or not, we have an understanding and a closeness with God.

As we grow older, if we seek out a relationship with God, He will grow closer to us.

If you consult with God before making any decisions in your life, you will never be led astray.

What often happens is we decide to take control of our lives instead of allowing God to control our lives and we oftentimes mess up because we are human and that’s what human’s do.

Because we take control and make our own decisions, we are led astray and find ourselves in jobs or in careers that just don’t settle right with our souls.

Our souls were given a mission at birth and we have not followed our mission and allowed our souls to grow.

The closer we draw to God, the more unsettled we will feel on our jobs or in our careers that are not aligned with our soul.

When it gets to the point where we simply cannot take it any longer, when going to the office literally makes us sick to the stomach, or when simply getting out of bed in the morning becomes a task; we start looking for answers.

We start seeking out the truth. We start seeking out knowledge.

But having the knowledge and understanding of the truth is absolutely nothing until you put it into action.

Yes, it is a bit scary at first.

I don’t know anyone who has made changes in their lives and wasn’t a bit scared in the beginning. But the more you learn, the more you grow. Start off small. Learn every day.

How to Know if You are Overtraining
As everyone knows, exercise is good for you. It helps to keep your weight down, helps to keep you toned up, and helps to make you feel good. So then, if getting a little exercise is good for you, then it must be better to get even more and if getting more indeed is better, then it stands to reason that getting a lot would be even better. Sounds logical, doesn't it? However, this is not always the case. When you exercise with fairly high intensity, and you exercise that way often, there will come a time at some point when your body will begin to slowly start to shut down. People will get to this point at different times, depending on their fitness levels and exercise intensity and frequency. If after exercise you tend to feel more wore out tha

Do You Want to Be Successful?
Many of my students ask me a lot of questions about funding their rehab, finding the right contractors and anything under the sun that they think is too difficult in starting their own rehabbing business.Basically, I tell them exactly what I used to do. They learn all of my mistakes that I made in finding contractors, how I used to look for money, how I used to waste my money and so on.The reason I go this route is because I don't want them to make the same mistakes I did. I can give you the motivation and the know how to find what the money you need or the right contractor to do the job. But, initially, you have to take the first step. You have to get your butt off the couch, turn off this computer and go out

Leaving a job that you hate and starting your own business will seem like a breeze. Quitting a job that pays good money but isn’t aligned with your soul, will become easy to do.

God will guide you down the right path. Remember, HE is the one that gave you this purpose. HE is the one who decided what you should do with your life. There’s a reason why you are here and HE is the one that created that reason. Wouldn’t it only make sense that HE would want you to be successful at it?

NOTE: This is very important. If you don’t remember anything else you’ve read in this newsletter remember this: TO GOD GOES ALL THE GLORY. When you reach a goal or receive an accomplishment, give God the glory. Thank HIM for all He has done for you in your life. All God wants from us is acknowledgement and thanks.

Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us: Trust in the LORD with all thine heart… In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Action Point: For this week, consult with God before making any decisions. Before you go to bed at night, say your prayers and give thanks for all the blessings you’ve received that day.

Ask God what you should do the next day to bring you closer to your goal.

    Then sit and listen.

    Listen to your soul.

Grab a piece of paper and write down your thoughts. This list will be your “To Do” list for the next day.

    Then go to sleep.

While you are in the state right before you actually doze off, concentrate on the task you have to do the next day.

Visualize yourself accomplishing all the things you have written down on your “To Do” list.

Thank God, in advance, for allowing you to complete your entire list.

Then, get a good night sleep.

If you do this often enough, you will have accomplished and completed all of the goals you have set for yourself and will be living your life’s purpose.
