The nervous system runs the body. In this respect, it is responsible for making sure the organs within the body do the right things at the right time. It is also responsible for making the body react to external stimulus. It schedules, monitors and makes decisions that keep the body functioning and aware. This is commonly termed homeostasis. As you can imagine this is an extremely complex task that we often tend to take for granted. If the nervous system was to fail or become damaged a person could lose the ability to walk, talk, feel pain and a whole host of other things. So does stress affect the nervous system, and if so, does The center of our Thought System, today, is believed to reside in our brain. The brain is thought to be synonymous with our mind. The brain consists of millions of neurons and cells. Data is stored in the cells and transmitted via the neurons to our senses. We think our Thought System works something like this: We absorb data through our senses. The brain stores the data. When our senses perceive the need to act, we access the data stored in our brain, we examine the data, we make a decision or a choice, and we act out the intentions of the decision and choices. We repeat these steps 100’s and 1000’s of times per day. We take courses. We learn. We fill our brain with all kinds of information. The more information we learn, the more confident we become in our ability to deal with any issue. Do you have family members or close friends who tend to think that working from home is just a little hobby, something to keep you busy while you are watching the children grow up, and something to lift the burden of housework or the boredom of being a stay at home parent? For many of us, this is very true. Spouses, parents, and extended family members, especially those who have grown up in the business world, tend to look at people who work from home (especially if that business is virtually based) as being our little "hobby".How do you manage to cope with this? we are limited. We have an incomplete picture of the whole on which to base our decisions. One of the best ways I know of to give a massive boost to your ability to learn and to enhance your grades beyond all recognition is to leverage the immense power of your unconscious mind.‘The thinking process is unconscious. We become aware of the results consciously. All change takes place at the unconscious level. We become aware of the change consciously when we are ready.’ Joseph O’ConnorWhat on earth does this mean???Well, read on ……Roughly two million bits of information per second come into the human nervous system. We are literally bombarded with information. To maintain sanity, our conscious mind filters out most of the stimuli and Miller (1956) discovered we can consciously handle only seven p Each person is believed to have a Thought System that is their own. Individual Thought Systems take different paths. Everyone perceives things somewhat differently. Each person absorbs different data and, therefore, arrives at very different conclusions. Those differences, lead to different beliefs, different actions, and conflict. What if this is not the way our minds work? We do know that our stored data is not complete. We do know that we never truly see a complete picture because we are not involved in all the circumstances or all the activities that make up our environment.
