    Coup or Silk Revolution
The world politic condemns any country that is not "democratic." Yet, when faced with acts that embody the true essence of democracy: a political system in which the supreme power lies with the citizens, the world simply cannot recognize it.On Sept. 19th a military coup overthrew the Thai government, while the Former PM Thaksin Shinawatra landed in New York City to give a speech at a UN assembly. The coup was fast to act, and soon the nations capital was filled with Tanks and military soldiers. Thailand'

In my experiences as a coach, I’ve found that a person’s strength can be accurately measured by the size of the problems that he or she can handle and become inspired instead of intimidated. In our lives there are things that don’t quite go our way. Often times we get frustrated, we get angry, and we get sad because we didn’t get the exact result we aimed at. Problems exist in every area of life – in our family, with our friends, at work, at play, everywhere.

The problems that we experience and the stress that they usually cause are the building blocks of personal growth. Just as weights are used to build physical muscle, problems can be used to build emotional muscle. If you are at the gym working out, and you want to get stronger, you would want to lift weights. You may start off with a 10 or 15-pound weight, but after a while you will move up to a 20-pound weight. You would keep moving to heavier and heavier weights because the lighter weights just don’t make your muscles any bigger.

In the same way that weights come in a wide-variety of sizes, so do problems. There are 10-pound problems, 20-pound problems, 50, 100, and even 500-pound problems. As you solve a 10-pound problem, that problem doesn’t seem so tough anymore. Now if you’ve been used to 10-pound problems and a 50-pound problem comes your way, once you solve the problem, another 50-pound problem will be easy to solve. By solving these problems, we now have the certainty that we can solve similar ones. In this way, just as lifting weights will increase your physical strength, solving problems will increase your emotional strength!

With this type of viewpoint, it becomes quite easy to start viewing every “problem” as a challenge. Many people enjoy a good challenge. Challenges are a way of showing the world what you’re made of. When there’s a challenge to be taken on, it becomes much easier to find an effective solution.

Now if we start viewing these challenges as an opportunity to find a solution. Now we don’t really have a problem or a challenge anymore, now we have an opportunity. Now who doesn’t love an opportunity for growth?

So, if every problem is nothing more than a challenge in disguise and every challenge is an opportunity in disguise, there must be some type of benefit to this opportunity, right? Absolutely!
