Notable News - The Branding Myth
How many times have you heard of seen advertising for a graphic design company that states that they do branding? If you think branding is a logo, letterhead, or web design with all the same look, and colours, then it's true...they can "do branding".Let's take a look at one of the world's best-branded companies, McDonalds. You may not like the food, but if someone says "golden arches" you know what institution they are talking about. Mickey D, McCoffee and Big Mac all bring the same familiar name to mind. You each may have a different reaction to the thought of eating there, but any one of the many product names will trigger the bigger picture.Think about the things you know from eac

      Textile-Portal-An introduction
Textile Portal is a marketplace for the common meeting point of Buyers and Suppliers of Textile products and services. It follows the same concept of the traditional market places which are set up for buyers and sellers even today. For e.g.: We visit various markets like vegetable market, fish market, cloth market. Almost always we can see that similar products are sold in such markets with a variety of options available to select from. Textile Portal is a virtual marketplace where traders, buyers and suppliers do their postings for the requirements. In fact traders play an active role in the negotiating of prices and making the business profitable for both buyers and suppliers. The task is a difficult one for tra
Today we want to talk about how you build your website and upload it to your host. (I’m sure you realize we can’t cover every detail of the process in these articles. My goal is just to get you started. To make it all work, you will need to get help from your local FE college or your techie as we have discussed in earlier articles. This is just an outline.)

      Building your website

To build a website you need some software called either a ‘webpage builder’ or an ‘HTML editor’ (these both mean the same thing). There are three types:

        Virtual Meetings Cut Travel Costs
A majority of companies have higher travel expenses than they need," says Alisa Jenkins, senior director at Bredin Business Information, a business consulting firm. "This doesn't mean you have to cut out all travel. There are still many cases where meeting face to face is best. But there are also good ways to meet virtually that can make many of your business trips unnecessary."Alternatives to business travel - such as web conferencing with Microsoft Office Live Meeting or similar products - continue to improve with advances in internet and related technologies, most agree. We'll address the options, including video conferencing, teleconferencing, online collaboration tools and the web conferencing in detail belo

Channeling HP - Hewlett Packard Bests Dell in Retail
I like to pick on HP more than most people, so it is odd I now must praise them.Back when I was on the other side of the B2B technology exchange, I was primarily an HP customer. I ran shops with multiple minis of varying HP operating system flavors (RTE, MPE, HPUX) and thus had a deep love/hate relationship with the company. To this day I keep a number of HP executives in my virtual Rolodex and hound them when necessary or advantageous. For a long time it appeared that HP's PC business was going to go the way of IBM's, namely "out the door." Sales were weak, and the fatter margins promised by the Compaq merger were not evident. HP went toe-to-toe with Dell, attempting to clone their success without ever

Reward Your Employees for Outstanding Performance: Top Five Ways To Reinforce Excellent Work
Nobody works for nothing. That is to say, people work because there’s something in it for them. Financial remuneration, prestige, recognition, pride, a sense of doing the right thing. The preferred rewards for a job well done vary from person to person. But the need to get something for one’s hard work is universal.Great leaders know all about this. They realize that they cannot simply expect their employees to do their best work, day after day, year after year, without some sort of meaningful acknowledgement. They understand that to get the most from their people, they’ve got to recognize their accomplishments in ways that have an impact, that serve to reinforce hard work and encourage continued creativity

At The Cutting Edge Of Survival
Robert has become a mobile fast food shop. He was released recently from prison, after having served for one year on petty-theft which he had practiced for several years before the hand of the law came knocking. Now he has changed, if his rehabilitated status passes the test of time. He sells meat soup lased with a few pieces of meat. His other menu includes eggs, rice and potatoes. He carries all the food on his body, complete with cutlery! He has an oversize coat with many pockets. The coat has some of the pockets when he bought. He sewed in many more of different sizes to accommodate plates, cups, spoons, spices, and a small salt container. The only visible containers that he carries around are two containers of almo

You can also add images, format background colours and borders.
