Is Your Corporate Wellness Program Floundering?
Is Your Corporate Wellness Program Floundering?Companies are instituting corporate wellness programs, often with mixed results. The idea behind a corporate wellness program is actually quite solid: these programs are opportunities for employees to get the help they need to prevent illness. The general idea of a corporate wellness program is that since as many as 80% of illnesses can be avoided with some preventative care, more attention to corporate fitness can improve productivity, reduce company costs, and can result in happier employees. While some corporate wellness programs seem to be doing just fine, they are the minority. And allowing the organization in a business to become aware through people leads directly to the success we are looking for. What else is an organization than the combined consciousness of people within?

Fortunately a few entrepreneurs in America are already aware as said in the beginning of this article. These Leaders have first hand experience on how powerful this transformation is. It seems that America is again the avant-garde in re-shaping the way business is done for the benefit of society, if only enough people will become awake and form the critical mass required.

Will it be easy to achieve? Well, let me say this: It requires a lot of effort to step out of our “comfort-zone” and go into unknown terrain. Learning and training is needed, getting educated and again become self-aware! There will be ch

    Jobs of the Future
Today, we live in an uncertain world. We can not predict what will happen in the next second. If you can, then you must me something else other than a living being. Today, we are constantly terrified by the uncertainty of the next moment. As I write this article, I don’t actually know what will happen the next moment. A new inventory in technology may jeopardize my current work as a typist. As I type, I do so with fear because I don’t know weather my boss will be coming back the next moment with a robot that will type more effective, accurate and efficiently than I do. If such happens, that means that I will lose my current job as a typist.I
Almost undetected and very silently, a transformation in business is taking place with the potential to become as big as did the transition into the information age, about a decade ago. We are still at the very beginning of what will profoundly change the way business is done in America and the World. Spirituality in Business is going to be the new paradigm and the impact on society at large will be felt anywhere. Those who already recognized the need for this dramatic shift and are taking action upon it are rewarded with benefits beyond measure. This Transition should not be underestimated; it is the cutting edge of business at large.

What happened during the last ten years? Globalization of business, based on the advancement in the information technology, led to an enormous growth of the economies in the former sub-developed countries. India and China (“Chindia”) are moving fast to become new economic superpowers. In the countries of the western world the pressure mounted to become ever more efficient and effective in order to stay competitive. Using technology, processes were described and introduced with the idea to “mechanize” almost any job, and aiming to reduce the failure-rate close to zero. Jobs were described, down to the nitty-gritty detail, taking away the freedom of choice from people, thus reducing them to a kind of robot. Many jobs just became dispensable and were slashed. Other jobs were taken away and “exported” to countries with cheap labor. All this is still done today at an ever-increasing speed. The idea is to do whatever it takes to maintain or increase the profitability thus satisfying the shareholders. Many CEO’s quickly learned the importance this has for their survival and did what was expected no matter what. But what are the consequences of all this? People are getting sick mentally and physically, having to live in this kind of treadmill. A steadily increasing number of managers are suffering the burn-out syndrome and most of the people feel their lives are empty and meaningless.

But now the first visionary leaders became aware what people, including themselves, are longing for. We all want to feel loved and cared for, and 95% of the population in the US believes in a Higher Power, a belief in Spirit. We all are seeking the purpose of life, knowing that there is more than what we see. After all there is a power within us beyond any understanding. People, human beings, are making and carrying out the work thus making progress and profitability possible. Whatever process we might have, without people doing what is necessary, nothing is going to happen at all. In addition, if we treat people as dispensable objects, often calling them a burden, failure in the mid-term is the consequence.

Imagine the power of our consciousness, just look at the findings in science, whether psychology or physics or biology, our scientists agree that taking advantage of this power is the next quantum leap of our society! With the power of consciousness we have access to knowledge so vast, that we have difficulties grasping it at first. People like Albert Einstein understood this a long time ago. He knew that he was connected to something bigger than himself.

What do we need now? We need a new breed of Leaders capable of transcending common knowledge. We need Leaders who can see what others are not capable to perceive. We need Leaders with integrity and respect for the human being, able to step out of their ego and be of service for those they lead. We need leaders embracing this transformation of our society as the opportunity to create harmonic growth for the benefit of all.

To integrate Spirituality in business and society is the key to true wealth. We are Body – Mind – Spirit, and when we take care of all three, there will be no emptiness in our life. How do we do that? First of all we must reach Life Mastery. We must become aware of “who we truly are” and we must understand the spiritual laws. This is the foundation for what I call “Enlightened Leadership” and it is the foundation for Spiritual Growth. Allowing people to grow spiritually is empowering them. And allowing the organization in a business to become aware through people leads directly to the success we are looking for. Risk Assessment in the Workplace - Part 3
Step 4. Record your findings. If you have less than 5 employees then you do not need to write anything down. Although you will find it useful to keep a written record of what you have done.If you have five or more employees, then you must put in writing the significant findings of your risk assessment. This means writing down the significant hazards and your conclusions.Examples might be something like:Electrical installations: insulation and earthing checked and found OK.orFumes from welding: local exhaust ventilation provided and regularly checked. You must also tell your employees about your findings.Su

    Screening Your Employees
Many companies screen the employees before recruiting them. This helps them weed out undesirable candidates at the outset. It also protects them from litigation, regulators and the risk of high turnover. Besides verifying the details on your resume, employers most commonly screen for criminal behavior, drug abuse, regulatory violations, and appearances on a terrorist watch list. They also keep a check on employees’ tax liens, bankruptcy filings, ongoing divorce or custody proceedings, driving violations or bounced checks. Employers are also concerned that someone with monetary problems, health issues or family concerns may not be fully focused on the job. Du

    Procurement
The range of activities associated with the buying of goods and services to support business operations is called procurement. When talking about procurement, planning is the first and most important step in the whole process. Planning involves selecting missions and objectives and the actions to achieve them; it requires managers to choose among alternative future courses of action. Plans thus provide a rational approach to preselected objectives.Planning bridges the gap from where we are to where we want to go. It makes it possible for things to occur which would not otherwise happen. Although we can never be sure what will happen in the future, and
