Beauty can be found in the seemingly mundane. A friend of mine has a quirky little smile that I delight in every time we meet. And there is a squirrel that lives in my backyard that has mastered the art of sabotaging my bird feeder and he makes me smile every time I watch him hanging from his toes to get a few morsels of birdseed.

It is the same feeling I get when I drive up my driveway and see the decorative hardware I have chosen for my working exterior shutters. I smile. I smile at the simplicity of design that I have chosen and yet the remarkable impact that the metal has against the shutters and the house.
