Now, during his break, this guy managed to get up the courage to go to his colleague’s cubicle to ask her where she picked up her snazzy air purifier. As he was walking towards her, she turned, took one look at him, and swiftly turned to the air purifier to increase the amount of the lavender essence in it. My friend amused. He had been thinking that she wanted to make her cubicle more appealing, which is why she purchased the air purifier, while all the time, she was trying to eliminate a bad smell.
Not that he was a stinky person by any standards! Of course in the hot season, he sweats as much as anyone. But that was no excuse for being so patronizing about it. Well, to keep going with the story, he went on as though as he hadn't taken notice of her air purifier at all and made a note to buy himself some good smelling anti-perspirant. And maybe some breath mints for good measure.

Despite his absolute revulsion towards the air purifier from that day forward, he did begin to notice a lot more about that colleague. For one thing, the scent of the air purifier was a revealing reflection of her moods. Whenever she was happy and the whole world seemed joyous, she would use a heady citric scent. She eventually came to realize that he's a good guy and she decided to risk going out with him. It started slowly at first, but more frequently later. They're still going strong. All thanks to a humble air purifier.
