Taming the Paper Tiger at Home
Have you ever sat down at the kitchen table with the day’s mail and started sorting it into piles? • bills (you always recognize those first!),• “to read” pile (that’s always the tallest),• stuff to go in the wastebasket (but that’s on the other side of the room),• papers to discuss with your significant other (who isn’t there at the moment), and finally• “I don’t even know how I got this” pile (but you really want to read it!)Then the phone rings -- or the kids come in -- or it’s time to go to a meeting. By this time, you can’t remember which pile is which, and you don’t have time to think about it
for most people than vision creation).

TIP#1 - Call At Weird Hours

People who screen their calls normally during the 8am to 6pm business hours will often pickup the phone if a call comes in at 6am or 8:30pm and they are working at their desk. W

Customer Feedback Management: Do Companies Want You to Leave Customer Feedback?
New companies are springing up everywhere. But how can their service be measured? Where would you go to find good or bad service? How effectively are customer complaints and issues that arise from trading being dealt with? Many companies have departments and call centres. But to many of us, the call centre can be the source of much frustration. If you've ever sat in one of these call queues, only to have some tired, bored individual attempt to wade their way through the ever increasing complexity of products and services offered by some of today’s online trading companies, you'll appreciate where I'm coming from. Many comp
How many times have you heard that you gotta get past the gatekeeper and get to the decision-maker to make the sale? Countless books and sales trainers have talked about this for years. Much of this advice was written for a world without voicemail.

Today's flatter organization has fewer administrative assistants for management, which means fewer live gatekeepers to screen our phone calls. The delegation of authority has also resulted in decision-makers being found at lower levels in the business than ever before. More and more decision- makers now use voicemail as their primary or even exclusive gatekeeping and screening tool.

Today I am going to discuss a few sales tips for getting through to your target in the world of voicemail hell. The first rule as always in sales is to be prepared, so you should have ready two or three major pains and visions that your product solves or enables. Make sure you have prepared at least one strong pain that your prospect is likely to identify with (pain elimination is a stronger motivator for most people than vision creation).

    The New Consumption Patterns
Contemporary economic models present the typical consumer as deliberative and highly forward-looking, not subject to impulsive behavior. Shopping for a product or a service is seen as an information-gathering exercise in which the buyers look for the best possible deal for products and/or services they have decided to purchase. Consumption choices represent optimizing within an environment of deliberation, control, and long-term planning. Whether such a picture is accurate it would be news (and news of a very bad sort) to a whole industry of advertisers, marketers, and consultants whose research on consumer behavior tells a very differ

Network Marketing As A Tool To Create Wealth
Do you have the qualities to promote products or services through personal referrals? What you need for this is empathy, a reasonably good knowledge of the world wide web. You should know how to surf the net meaningfully and effectively to extract financial benefit from it and the sense to identify the winning products or services for which there is a demand in the virtual world. Remember the world is virtual but there are real people behind it and real money to make here if you are ready to invest money and time for this. You don't need tons of money for this ( you would have to invest around say USD $ 10 to 30 per month ) although th

Leveraging Employees to Increase Retail Store Sales
A retail store is only as effective as the productivity of its employees. Your employees are critical to the operation of your store and by providing a work environment that is conducive to success, you will increase the level of productivity within your retail business. Not only will your employees be more satisfied while they work, but your customers will also form favorable impressions of your business from the employees they interact with while shopping. It is important that your employees create a favorable image that will encourage your customers to return. There are three areas where you can affect your employees' product

    Organizing Your Electronic Files
Have you ever sat in front of your computer looking for a document – knowing it was there – the question is: “Where?” The answer gets amazingly complicated if the document is an attachment someone sent to you from someone else’s e-mail account! In addition to organizing the additional paper that results from our new technology, we now also have to organize the technology itself. Did you know that 80-95% of the information we work with daily is generated by email and electronic files? How Computer Filing WorksYour computer is basically an electronic filing cabinet. This is true regardless of what ki

TIP#1 - Call At Weird Hours

People who screen their calls normally during the 8am to 6pm business hours will often pickup the phone if a call comes in at 6am or 8:30pm and they are working at their desk. With some of the insane hours people work these days, this can be very effective. They will pickup the phone generally thinking that the only person who would call at 8:30pm at night is their spouse or a friend. Who could possibly know that they are at the office at that sick hour? Try calling anytime after 6pm, and up until 8pm or 9pm when you really need to reach this person. If they are that important to the business, and that hard to reach, chances are that they work very late, very early, or both.

Getting the direct extension number of a Director or VP in a medium to large size company can seem like an impossible task. Some top people will have a direct extension that the receptionists won't give out. Instead, the best you get is a general department extension like 555-2000 (where there actually is a gatekeeper). Other times you get only the gatekeeper's voicemail (now you are really stuck in voicemail hell).

TIP #2 - The Wrong Extension Trick

Call another extension at the company randomly, say 555-2198 an
