    The Steps in Budget Planning
When it comes to budget planning there are several important steps that you need to follow to ensure you create a budget and follow it. Believe it or not but budget planning really is the easy part. The hard part is following your budget! Fortunately, the following suggestions will help you out significantly not to mention there is budgeting planning software out there that will run all the numbers for you automatically if you aren’t so good with math or simply want to save some time! Consider the following tips and you will be able to create a budget in no time.Create a List The first thing you need to do is create a list. On one side you need to include all of your income. This includes money from jobs and any other sources. On the other side write down all of your expenses for the month. Things like rent or mortgage payments, groceries, gas, insurance, car payments, clothes, entertainment, tuition, and anything else that you spend each month should be written down. Even include things like your daily coffee or afternoon milkshake. Once you include all of this information you can start doing some figuring.Need vs. Want Now, you want to go over your list and consider what on there is a necessity and what is a desire. You must pay your mortgage to keep your house, you don’t have to buy a $3 coffee every day. Follow this example and you will see where you spend your money and how you can save it in the future. This will allow you to create a budget you can live on and eliminate the things you don’t need and still pay for the things you do.Budgeting Software Now, include all this information in some budgeting software so that you can figure out what percentage of your income will be spent, saved, invested, and the like. When you decide you want to save 20% of your income or some other similar amount then you can do it with the h

In my experience people continuously underestimate the advantage that small businesses have over their larger counterparts.A small business is often started by an entrepreneur with a passionate belief in the value what he or she is doing. Now I ask you this; have you ever met anyone who works for a large corporation who believes passionately in the value of what they do?In my experience many of them don’t even like the company they work for. They’re just there for the wage packet. Large company employees more often display passionate dislikes than likes. So, if you run a small business it makes sense to get really passionate about what you do. This will give you a positive edge.I have just finished writing a video script about selling with confidence and conviction so I have been giving the subject of belief a great deal of thought of late.In over 20 years of running my own businesses I have found that when I believe passionately in what I am doing it gives me two great advantages. First, I become so caught up in my ideas that it doesn’t occur to me to be nervous when I am talking about what I do. It doesn’t matter who I am talking to, I just let rip. As a result I don’t experience any feelings of nervousness or tension in “sales” situations. The second great benefit of belief is that, like all emotions, it is contagious. You’ll find that when you show how much you believe in and care about what you are doing other people get sucked into your circle of enthusiasm. It is possible that people feel shy or reticent about showing their feelings in the business environment. That might be understandable from the perspective that emotional displays might be considered to make you vulnerable. Or because putting too much of yourself into a project might lead to a greater feeling of disappointment if you don’t pull it off

Everywhere you look you see affiliate program offers for
every product or service that you can think of. Some have
fully automated systems that sell high volumes of hard
products all over the world. In case you don't know, "hard"
products are those that you can touch...unlike an ebook or
downloadable web template. Many affiliate programs have
several thousand affiliates and one or two of the bigger
companies have over one million affiliates.

What are the advantages of joining an affiliate program?

They provide a ready-made business. This is a very big plus
for those people who want to earn some kind of living off
the Internet but lack the knowledge or inclination to set up
    a business by themselves.

Commissions and rewards are generally good, and the more
established programs offer a real chance of advancement to
    higher and better-paid levels.

Other affiliates are usually on hand to offer practical
    support.

    What are the limitations?

You are restricted in your promotional activities due to the
fact that you do not actually own the affiliate site they
give you. You won't be able to put such things as banners,
images, links, meta tags, etc. onto your page.
The URL of your affiliate page is often either too long or
contains such awkward things as question marks, which many
    Search Engines will not index.

Any promotional ads or articles have probably already been
used by thousands of other people and consequently may have
lost its impact, making it more difficult to achieve sales
    or referrals.

If the program you have joined has not yet established
itself (or in some cases even if it has), then you may
encounter problems with payments owed to you not being
honored. You also run the risk of low quality products or
sub-standard statistics that do not accurately record how
many referrals or sales you have made.

You may be required to purchase a minimum quantity of the
product on a regular basis before you start to qualify for
commissions or even before you can become an affiliate.
You may not get the technical or affiliate support you might
expect from the company. This may be due to inadequate
    staffing, or the company's negligence.

Other people in your downline do nothing to promote the
    program.

At least four of the above limitations can be overcome with
a little time and effort. You could, for example, come up
with fresher ads to promote the program (provided this is
    allowed).

If the company supplies the email addresses of people in
your downline, then you could offer to help the less active
members. Very often these people are passive not because
they are lazy or apathetic but merely because they don't
know HOW to promote effectively! your guidance could mean
the difference between no sales or referrals and healthy
    downlines and residual incomes.

As regards promoting your actual page, here are a couple of
little tricks that should overcome a number of
    restrictions:

Cloak your Affiliate URL to stop hijackers Affiliate Masker
While this will not help you to get listed on the major
Search Engines, it will make your web page easier for
prospects to remember and type into their browser's address
    bar.

Go to your affiliate page. Place your mouse pointer anywhere
on the page and right click once. In the drop-down box
choose "View Source". This will display the HTML for the
page. Save this to your hard drive as a HTML document using
the "Save As" function. Upload the page to your  web site.
If you don't have a web site then get some free web space
    from one of these:

    http://www.tripod.com/
    http://www.fortunecity.com/
    http://www.hypermart.net/index.gsp
    http://www.coolchat.com/
    http://www.crosswinds.net/
    http://www.htmlpublishing.com/
    http://www.freehomepages.com/
    http://www.pageproducer.com/

Submit your 'new' page to the Search Engines. You are also
now able to place banner codes, links, images, testimonials,
in fact anything you want onto these pages, because you are
in control of the HTML. A word of caution, though. Don't
change the actual HTML of your original affiliate page. Just
put the other stuff, like banners etc, around it.

Making this "mirror page" of your affiliate page will
    dramatically improve your advertising options.

Are you a business, non-profit or association manager who pretty much ignores your organization’s important outside audiences? If that’s you, do you realize how difficult you’re making it to achieve the important behavior changes you really need and want? I mean changes that lead directly to achieving your department, division or subsidiary’s objectives?I’m talking about achieving new levels of membership applications; growing the repeat purchase rate; capital givers looking your way; attracting new prospects; expanding the list of organizations officially specifying your service and products; or suppliers newly motivated to meet your strict quality and delivery requirements.Start operating in your own best interest by taking a closer look at the public relations work underway on behalf of your unit.Is it focused more on communications tactics than upon a workable, comprehensive plan for dealing with those key external audience behaviors that impact your operation the most? What may be needed is a refocus on the fundamental premise of public relations: People act on their own perception of the facts before them, which leads to predictable behaviors about which something can be done. When we create, change or reinforce that opinion by reaching, persuading and moving-to-desired-action the very people whose behaviors affect the organization the most, the public relations mission is accomplished. When you meet with the PR people assigned to your unit, be clear about the need to list and prioritize those key external audiences, and then monitor how your unit is perceived by members of those audiences. That means interacting with those folks and asking lots of questions. Now, and only now, can you mount an effort to alter those perceptions, and thus behaviors, in your dire

What is a chat room? It's an area of a website set aside for people to chat in 'real' time. In other words, messages appear on a screen as soon as they are typed, and are responded to immediately.Let's go to an established chat room for our first visit -- Yahoo Chat. Go to http://www.yahoo.com After the home page loads, click on the 'chat' link, at the left side of the page right by Connect. You will first have to register, if you don't have a yahoo email address. If you already have a yahoo email address, then you can go straight to the chat room.Under the 'Enter Chat Room' link, there are two 'Featured Rooms', you can choose instead. After you have made your choice, enter. You will then be asked to enter your Yahoo ID and Password. The chat room will then begin to load.Note: You can also download Yahoo Messenger. It's a Free messaging service that allows you to communicate with friends and family and others. It's useful by letting you know when certain people come online. You will download the messenger to your computer. The messages will have the senders name in front of them, so that you will know who they come from. You type your message in a box at the bottom of the screen, then hit send. It's fun to chat but beware, Chat Rooms Can Be Addictive!!If you find that you truly enjoy the chat rooms, limit yourself to one or two hours per day at them.

Here’s something to test.Take your existing business-to-business direct mail package and make just one change: put two windows on the mailing envelope instead of one. Mail it and see what happens.According to direct mail author, publisher and speaker Ren? Gnam, “two windows usually get more attention and response than a single window.” In tests that Ren? conducted for his clients, two (or more) windows on the carrier envelope increased response rates. The increased sales also paid for the added cost of producing the special envelopes. Some direct marketers use one window to show the recipient's name and address, and the other window to reveal something tantalizing. This is a classic use for extra windows to tease prospects into opening your envelope. The secret is to show something of value or immediacy through the window so that prospects are compelled to open the envelope rather than lay it aside or pitch it.What to show through the extra window: gift certificate discount coupon photo of your back-end premium deadline for taking action invitation to a special event title of a white paper or report CD-ROM or DVD front-end premium special offer prospect’s name on a certificate teaser copy (“Reserved for [prospect name] . . .”) a swatch of material name of the mutual acquaintance who referred you something else (use your great imagination!) Why limit yourself to just two windows? You could use more than two windows, of course. Ren? Gnam once used four windows and saw an increase in response. Use as many as you can think of. Just make sure they don’t break your production budget! You are also not limited to putting window

Please Rate This Article: 1 Votes | Average: 5 out of 5 Business Management Case Study; Disgruntled Terminated Franchisees and a Moral Mission
Franchising executives need to be careful to hand terminated and disgruntled franchisees with special care because a franchisee who feels that they have been wronged or decides to act on revenge can cause a franchise system a whole lot of problems. Often they will start calling up State and Federal Regulatory Bodies and complaining about the company. Harassing current franchisees and bad mouthing the company in the industry are also extremely common. Why does this occur? Well, I have given this some thought over the years and it appears to be an innate characteristics of mankind actually that people who are disrespected often seek revenge. This of course can be completely unfortunate for a brand name although allowing a non-performing, under capitalized or defaulting franchisee can also hurt the brand name. The better move is to help the franchisee come into compliance any way you can. Nevertheless, be ready for the rogue franchisee who goes postal. They will say things like I want to teach them a lesson when speaking of the franchising company or “My biggest fear is that I won't be able to stop them before they hurt any one else.” They make it a moral mission and crusade and refuse to take fault for any of it somehow convincing themselves that they have a right to misrepresent the situation, slander the franchisor and modify the truth of events. Franchisors must protect their brand name from these people and be careful to lay all the facts out for the State and Federal Regulators when they file complaints. Franchisors are always considered guilty until they prove themselves innocent even though it is a proven fact that 85% of all complaints in franchising to government agencies are falsehoods, misrepresentations of fact or out right fraudulent. That is the true percentage and franchisors need to consider this fall-out from terminated franchisees.
