Christians all over the world will all be tempted in different ways. One problem we all will face is being tempted to conform to the world. Daily demands will distract us and only the ones who focus entirely on God will succeed in being different in this world.

It is not a simple process because before one can cross, unknown dangers may have to be faced and terrifying battles fought. This is what Jacob discovered. To cross over into Canaan was not just a matter of crossing a stream, because in the darkness a strange and mysterious presence arises. Ancient tales had it that rivers had spirits which had to be defeated before the river could be crossed.

It’s the most powerful weapon on Earth. It can turn the impossible to the possible in a matter of seconds. Yet, few people even Christians seem to take advantage of this free, priceless commodity. The name of this mighty weapon you may ask? Prayer: The act of conversing with God; the intercourse of the soul with God, not in contemplation or meditation, but in direct address to him. If it’s not the constant bombardment of the media focusing only on negativity, it’s the monotony of our daily life which causes many to forget this simple task at our fingertips.

This week you may get knocked down off your feet. It may take you a while to get on sure footing and it may take strength of the heart to move forward. But keep the initiative, spring forward and live the life God has always wanted for you.

Our lives have been dramatically changed as a result,” they said enthusiastically. “We have come to encourage you to go on national television to tell Christians everywhere how they can know the Holy Spirit and experience His revolutionary impact in and through their lives.” I am humbly grateful to God for the privilege of teaching these great truths concerning the Holy Spirit to tens of millions of people through-out the world, often with the same dramatic results this couple enjoyed. To be effective lighthouses for Jesus Christ, we must be empowered by the Holy Spirit. Without that filling, we will fail miserably in our spiritual lives and accomplish little to reach other people for Christ.

Many of you come to this site because you are a Seeker. You are looking for something -- answers to a problem, a relationship, a better career, more money, and/or the return of a lover. Some of you are trying to strengthen your connection to your higher self or to God.

It doesn’t matter what magazine or newspaper you pick up these days, there it is! the evidence of violence; the killing of innocent people, the terror of aggression and destruction. How do we, as caring, compassionate, conscious people maintain our inner peace in the face of war? Is it responsible to turn from the glaring headlines, close our eyes, go within to connect with that place of inner peace? What if those headlines have stirred up our visceral fear reactions and we are disturbed and angry? When outer circumstances create worry, helplessness and judgment how do we shift our inner attention so that we send peaceful thoughts, rather than more anger and hatred?

Universal Law is an invisible influence in every individual’s life, whether we realize it or not. It is invisible because we cannot see it anymore than we can see the God who created it. We can see only the evidence of its existence by recognizing its effect on our lives. Universal Law is an expanding and contracting vibration, always in motion. Every soul on every life level is responsible for its own interpretation of the law and chooses if and how the law will be applied within a current lifetime...

Trying to keep your spiritual life afloat? Sinful pride can send you straight to the bottom. And it doesn't arrive all at once, but like ice on the bow of a fishing boat, it accumulates imperceptibly, little by little. If you don't knock it off continually, you're sunk!

Do you feel discouraged because you are not reaching the milestones that you have given yourself in school? Are they not going through the way you thought they would? Do you feel that you are letting your parents down with the grades you are bringing home? The thing to do is to take a look inside and what is making these things happen.

Panic attacks occur for no apparent or clear reason. Their causes are unknown. They may happen at the most unexpected times and may strike you unexpectedly. They are sudden and spontaneous, and as such might occur when you are under severe stress or when you are quite relaxed and in restful sleep. They might occur due to your being in a situation that you intensely fear facing or experiencing, whether real or anticipated and imaginary. In other words, your phobia (irrational fear) or phobias might trigger them. You may be alone or in the midst of doing some people, you may be doing nothing or something important, when the panic attacks might occur, without any sort of warning. For instance, you might suffer a panic attack while driving or shopping or doing something else like riding in an elevator, without you having even an inkling of what is happening to you.
