Terminal Diagnosis and Putting Our House in Order
Having worked in hospice setting for a number of years and being at the bedside of those who only had a few months and then days left to live, I have come to believe that if we knew definitely that our time was limited, we would look at the world with different eyes. We would suddenly begin to see things more clearly.

No Star-Studded Career
Let us grasp from the outset that success as understood in the usual secular sense of the word is not promised in the kingdom of God. God never promised anybody a star-studded career. He never promised achievement in the worldly understanding of the word. In fact, He seem to promise the exact opposite.

What The Bleep is All This Quantum Physics Stuff About?
“Quantum Physics is the science of gods... Newtonian Physics is the science of the small minds of men.” Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not suggesting that you should forget the Newtonian world of three dimensions (3D) and just operate in the quantum soup--not if you want to get any results, that is.

Spirituality: Living the Whole
I’d like to dispel a few myths. You don’t have to eat mung beans and wear ugly shoes to be spiritual. You can enjoy your physical comforts and wear Jimmy Choos, because, as Marianne Williamson says in Return to Love, “there is nothing pure or spiritual about poverty!”

Vacation Pilgrimage
After returning from a camping vacation, hopefully we will feel refreshed, we will have a better appreciation for our modern conveniences, we will have made some good memories, we will have strengthened relationships, and we will have brought our life a little more into balance.

Life Gets Teejus, Don't It?
Those five words are from a song that I remember hearing a long time ago. It may even be the song’s title. I dunno. For those of you who don’t speak casual English, the word “teejus” can be translate...

Petitioning for Your Needs
Human beings are blessed with a unique gift: the gift of prayer or petition to the Infinite for our needs. A religious person would call it prayer; others may call it petition or meditation. There is...

Spring Cleanup
With the end of what seemed to be a never ending winter,
we are now ready to start cleaning up around the house. We
are anxious to lighten the load and get rid of unwanted junk.
Some of it we get tired of or have outgrown. We either do
one of three things, throw the stuff out, give it away or sell it
because it still has some value.
How much easier it is for us to clean up our property than it
is to clean up our inner souls? When we get rid of this junk,
we are that much richer for it. Sometimes we can't put a
price on things that really matter.
What is your freedom worth to you?

Living Powerfully in the Present Moment
The time we spend on earth is very short when you consider the scope of the universe. Often, we don’t see the big picture and get lost in the details. What is our purpose in the few years we have?

Echo's Transition
Echo was a flea-bitten gray horse, with brown speckles everywhere, and crystal clear hairs in her mane and tail. We met in October, 1976, when she was a broodmare on an Arabian farm in New York State. A beginner at riding doesn't usually start out with a novice horse, but I fell in love at first sight of her. Somehow, over the years, we learned how to have great times and not get in trouble. We enjoyed trail riding and had fun doing dressage, too. Echo loved to be ridden and to gallop across field. She was always as eager for my companionship as I was for hers.

Living a Happier, Healthier, More Stress-Free Life!
Every time I hear of a company having massive layoffs, I feel for the people who are losing their jobs, but I immediately start thinking about the people who will be left behind. They now have to figure out how to get their work done plus work their former co-workers used to do. Ironically, while downsizing and layoffs are on the rise, workers are demanding more work-life balance than ever before.

What is Generalized Anxiety Disorder?
While the majority of people do at some time or another worry about something in their life whether major or trivial, there are some people who worry constantly on a day-to-day basis, week in and week out. If you are one of these people then you have what is classed as a generalized anxiety disorder.
Generalized anxiety disorder is classed in those who feel anxious or fearful on the majority of days. The feelings they have with the fear are varied and the depth at which they feel the feelings can be different from one day to the next. The feelings associated with generalized anxiety disorder are the same as those anyone who suffers any anxiety disorder feels. The most common are a fast heart rate or beat, palpitations of the heart, a sick feeling in the pit of the stomach or stomachache, sweating, a dry mouth, chest pain and a feeling of not being able to get enough breathe.

Stress Reliever - Thirty Seconds
The perception that in order to be accepted in society, we need to 'be somebody,' often involves the desire to create results from a combination of personal desires and external pressures from friends, family and society. Whenever we make choices for success that are influenced by external pressures and not from internal wisdom, personal conflict stress related symptoms can occur. This article sets forth a thirty-second stress reliever.
