Every time I have the desire to do something, to create something, that’s Spirit seeking expression through me. ANY time we connect with something or someone, we're also connected with Spirit (also known as God, the Universe, Higher Power, the Source). While our personal definition of Spirit is unique, when we connect with that Spirit it immediately connects us with something outside of ourselves.

Too many Christans cannot fully live in their present because they are still too bound up in their past. The Bible gives two very powerful verses on the extreme importance that each and every Christian learn how to fully let go of their past so that they can fly into their calls and destinies from the Lord. How long can we wait? As Christians, we read this and are still looking for God’s action. Even the coming of Jesus didn’t slow down the wickedness we see all around us. And, often times, this wickedness pervades our lives and slows us down. How long, O God?

Is God too busy to handle all the small stuff in my life? Do I only go to Him with the really big problems?

The Lord’s Prayer is a special prayer asking that we may recognize Reality/Truth and eventually be that Truth, just as Jesus was the Way, the Truth and the Life. My interpretation of The Lord’s Prayer is not the only one, there are many others, but I am sharing mine with you in the hope that we can experience this prayer rather than just recite it.

Sometimes in our dreams we are visited by a stranger, some ominous personality that we do not recognize and we do not know if this is a good stranger or a not so good stranger. Sometimes we feel a negative energy around us and do not like this feeling. Is this really an angel? Is this really a guide? How do we know who to trust?

The spiritually dead church. In my life, as a minister's son, I have seen many spiritually dead churches. There is no love, or working of the spirit. Some churches, have become a haven, for social gatherings, gossip meetings, and condemnation.

It’s the most powerful weapon on Earth. It can turn the impossible to the possible in a matter of seconds. Yet, few people even Christians seem to take advantage of this free, priceless commodity. The name of this mighty weapon you may ask? Prayer: The act of conversing with God; the intercourse of the soul with God, not in contemplation or meditation, but in direct address to him. If it’s not the constant bombardment of the media focusing only on negativity, it’s the monotony of our daily life which causes many to forget this simple task at our fingertips.

Many of us have been taught that it is wrong to be angry. This thinking weighs heavily in both the sacred and secular domains. Is that thinking right or wrong?

Being content whether have plenty or little as long as we rest in the arms of the One who provides it all for us.

Life at times gives us impromptu tests that at the time we think we have fail in our minds.

All of us have had failures and we have all walked down that lonely fairway of life not knowing if we would win or lose. But what brought Phil Michelson to that moment in time was not the many tournaments that he won in the past, but those that eluded him. Phil could have chosen this weekend to just say here I go again, and dwell on what could have been, yet he didn’t, “today is my day” he thought.

And then we ask ourselves upon what principles are we allotted our looks. What is it that makes us ugly or attractive or “plain?” What is it that gives us a musical ear or an artistic eye; an affectionate disposition or an uncontrollable temper, a talent for mathematics or skills of language?

For the Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts; For who among men knows the thoughts of man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

If we are honest with ourselves, we would have to admit that the reason we have difficulty forgiving others is because we sincerely believe we are justified in our withholding forgiveness.

Those living on the highest levels of life have learned to accept life on its own terms. There are some realities about life that we must accept. This is the key to living joyfully in communion with the heavenly while abiding here on earth.

People in all walks of life from professional athletes to celebrities to everyday men and women on the street, are getting help from subliminal messages. Not openly perceived by the conscious mind, subliminal messages are picked up by your subconscious mind, and then a part of your mind immediately understands and acts upon the information contained with the messages.

There's no getting around it, stress is a fact of life. We can use chose to stress to our advantage (if we know HOW to do it) or we can react negatively to the gush of energy that stress provides. Don't think stress gives you energy? It really does! Find out how.

Distress is a character altering conditions which can open door to Satan, when we don’t take authority over it. It doesn’t matter how nice someone is, when stressed, they can behave like a monster for that moment. Stress can open doors to other diseases, but we can overcome it by taking adequate time out.

One of the most dangerous trends in working society today is job-related stress. Downsizing, reorganization, more overtime and increased competition are all drastically contributing to a permanent workforce seemingly usable to cope with the pressures of their jobs. Study after study reveals that the numbers behind the stress are truly staggering, and they point to a near-future of problems with gigantic implications. Companies that offer stress reduction programs get more productivity out of their employees and improve their bottom line.

If we are to relieve our stress once and for all, we must know for sure. And the only way to know for sure is to plainly see the false. Within the false images of life we create is the seeds of stress, and only when we can see clearly is the stress ended.
