Sometimes life just seems to have led us down a dead end. This can be experinced as bad relationships, depression, low mood state, poverty and so on. There seems to be nowhere to go, no way out, and our dreams and desires are further away than ever. There is a way out. There is a way to get back on track.

I was recently reminded and enlightened to the idea that life too has exams. Because we live in an intelligent universe created by an intelligent God, there are no accidents or coincidences. Everything that happens has been divinely orchestrated by God for our good.

We have all been searching for that elusive experience of the NOW. What if I told you that the concept of linear unidirectional time was actually an illusion? Yes, an illusion that we have all been seduced into! There is a way out of this trap!

Life is like an obstacle course in which we run like an Olympian athlete and at times getting nowhere.

Many times, we are blinded to our own sins. This poem is about a man who will not believe what he sees in the mirror in front of him. It represents our sinful state, and the many times we are unwilling to face our flaws and pursue change.

The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.

We diminish the integrity of our prayers when we foolishly attempt to use God as a means of straightening out the mess we, ourselves, have created. Getting yourself in debt and begging God to get you out from under is not praying. Mumbling words to Him when your back is against the wall is not praying.

It is important and necessary that we regularly spend time in purposeful self-examination. We need to take the time to examine our rationales, our pretenses, our masquerades, our motives, our justifications, and our reasoning.

The gospel started with Abraham. That is why Scripture says he was introduced to the gospel in advance. If anyone was ever a religious fanatic it was Abraham. If anyone ever had an excuse to disobey God it was Abraham. God tested him in many ways including asking him to offer his only son of promise on the altar. Because he passed the test, we have the blessings of being in Christ.

Words, like music, convey an experience that transcends intellectual understanding. In this short passage I share reflections of an experience of being truly myself. As you read it allow youself to tune into your own inner emotional experience.
